The International Olympiad of Sciences (iOS) is a yearly exam organised by the SilverZone Foundation. It’s all about checking how well students understand and are good at Science. It’s open for students studying Science in school, both in India and worldwide. Taking part in iOS allows students to see how they measure up internationally.

iOS syllabus is based on the topics taught in schools, whether by CBSE, ICSE, or State Boards. It helps students get good at Science. The competition isn’t just about winning; it’s also about building a strong foundation in Science. This helps students think smart, solve problems, and know a lot about Science, which will be helpful in their future studies and jobs.

One of the big bonuses of joining the International Olympiad of Science (iOS) is the special report you get after the test. This report tells you exactly where you’re doing great and where you could get even better. It’s like a roadmap to becoming awesome at Science! iOS 2023 Eligibility Criteria:

Level 1

All students from 1st to 12th grade can participate in Level 1.

Level 2

The top 1000 students who ranked between 4th and 1003rd place, with at least 50% marks or more.
For Class 1, the student who got the 1st rank with at least 75% marks and 100 other students from the same school in that subject can move to Level 2.

Level 3

Those who got the 1st rank in the International Olympiad from classes 6th to 12th in Level 2 can advance to Level 3.

Use School Code to access your school’s registration.
Provide your school information and basic details in the registration form.
Choose the Olympiad Exam you want to participate in, the International Olympiad of Science (iOS).
Agree to the Terms & Conditions.
Double-check your registration details before proceeding with the payment.
Make the registration fee payment of 10 USD securely online.

iOS 2023 Test Duration:

The exam will be in English only and it’s for students from 1st to 12th grade. Here’s what to expect:

For Classes 1-2: There will be 25 questions and you’ll have 40 minutes.
For Classes 3-5: There will be 30 questions and you’ll also have 40 minutes.
For Classes 6-8: There will be 35 questions and you’ll have 40 minutes as well.
For Classes 9-12: There will be 40 questions and you’ll get 50 minutes.

You’ll get all the specific instructions along with the question papers. Starting from 3rd grade, you’ll get OMR answer sheets to mark your answers.

The questions will have multiple-choice answers. Don’t worry about wrong answers – there’s no penalty for guessing!

If 11 or more students have the same rank, instead of cash, each winner will receive a Medal of Excellence and a Certificate in their category.

iOS 2023 Preparation Tips | How to Prepare for Exam?

To do great in the Olympiad exams, here are some tips for students to follow:

Start your preparations early, make a plan, and then put it into action.
Join in weekly and monthly Olympiads to get used to the exam format.
Make sure you read the syllabus carefully.
Set daily goals and stick to them. Being consistent is really important.
Understand the whole syllabus well so you can start preparing early.
Do revisions and attempt practice tests.
Solve sample papers from previous years.
