IIT ISM Dhanbad: Courses Offered

Indian Institute of Dhanbad offers different undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD programmes. IIT ISM Dhanbad’s flagship course is a four-year B.Tech. The undergraduate course is offered across different specialisations, including Mining Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and others. For admission to these courses, aspirants must score well in the JEE Advanced and apply for the JoSAA counselling.

In the 2024 campus drive, a total of 291 companies from various sectors participated, providing 1,114 non-unique job offers. The placement rates were 69.97% for B.Tech students and 54.13% for M.Tech students. A total of 1,090 students secured placements during the IIT ISM Dhanbad placements for 2024. Additionally, 11 international job offers and 184 Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs) were received. The highest package offered was INR 51.03 LPA, the average package was INR 24.77 LPA, and the lowest was INR 9 LPA.
