<h3><strong>NEET-UG 2022 Counselling:</strong></h3>
<h3 id="NEET-1">Overview:</h3>
<p><strong>NEET-UG 2022 Counselling</strong> is conducted for admission to 91,927 MBBS, 27,698 BDS, 52,720 AYUSH, and 603 BVSc &amp; AH seats in around 612 medical and 315 dental colleges in India, including AIIMS and JIPMER. NTA is responsible for the <strong>NEET-UG exam</strong> commencement and result declaration. Following the result declaration, NTA released a merit list based on the candidate’s NEET exam score and handed over the data to the counselling conducting authorities.</p>
<p>The counselling will be held separately for <strong>15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats</strong> and <strong>85% State Quota seats</strong>. MCC is the conducting authority of the 15% All India Quota seats in government colleges, 100% seats in deemed/ central universities, AIIMS, JIPMER, ESIC, AFMS and BSc Nursing programs. The respective State Medical Admission Authorities will fill the 85% State Quota seats.</p>
<p>The <strong>NEET-UG 2022 AIQ counselling</strong> will be conducted online in four rounds – Round 1, Round 2, and Mop-up round, followed by a Stray Vacancy round. To participate, eligible candidates must register at <strong>MCC</strong>. The counselling process includes various steps like registration, choice filling and locking, fee payment, seat processing, result, and reporting for document verification. After round 2 counselling, if seats remain vacant, they will be adjusted in the mop-up round. Candidates who participate in <strong>All India Counselling</strong> can also participate in <strong>State Counselling</strong> of their respective states.</p>
<p>Earlier MCC released a notification for all PwD candidates, asking them to generate their PwD disability certificate from any one of the designated <strong>NEET</strong> Disability Certification Centres through online mode only before the start of Round 1 of <strong>UG 2022 Counselling</strong>.</p>
<h4>NEET-UG 2022 AIQ counselling will include the following:</h4>

<li aria-level="1">100% MBBS Seats of AIIMS across India,</li>

<li aria-level="1">85% of State Quota seats of DU/ I.P University (VMMC/ ABVIMS/ESIC Dental),</li>

<h3 id="NEET-3">NEET-UG 2022 Counselling Eligibility Criteria:</h3>
<p>Candidates must fulfil the prescribed eligibility criteria to participate in the <strong>NEET-UG 2022 counselling</strong>. The eligibility criteria are as follows:</p>
<ul class="mb-3">
<li aria-level="1">Candidates must have qualified the <strong>NEET-UG 2022 examination</strong>.</li>
<li aria-level="1">All candidates, including candidates from Jammu and Kashmir, are eligible to participate in the 15% AIQ counselling.</li>
<li aria-level="1">Candidates must have registered themselves at the MCC official website.</li>
<li aria-level="1">All NEET-qualified candidates are eligible to participate in the <strong>AIQ counselling for Deemed Universities</strong>.</li>
</ul>
<h4>Eligibility Criteria for OCI Candidates:</h4>
<p>Based on the Supreme Court order, from 2021 onwards, <strong><a href="https://www.allenoverseas.com/blog/neet-ug-2023-revised-eligibility-criteria-for-oci-candidates/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Overseas Citizen of India (OCI)</a></strong> candidates may apply under the Open Category at par with Indian citizens. Previously OCI candidates can apply under NRI seat/ quota category for the counselling process.</p>

<h3 id="NEET-5">NEET-UG 2022 Counselling Process:</h3>
<p>NEET-UG 2022 Counselling process includes online registration, fee payment, choice filling and locking, seat allotment and reporting at the institute. Let’s take a look at each step-by-step:</p>
<p><b>Step 1: Registration</b></p>
<p>To participate in counselling, candidates must register themselves at MCC Official Website. Follow the given steps to register:</p>

<li aria-level="1">Visit the official website of MCC, i.e. <strong><a href="https://mcc.nic.in/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">www.mcc.nic.in</a></strong></li>
<li aria-level="1">Go to the ‘Online Registration’ tab.</li>
<li aria-level="1">Enter your NEET Roll Number, Application Number, Name, Mother’s Name, Date of Birth, and mentioned Security Pin.</li>
<li aria-level="1">Candidates are required to fill in their personal details, academic details and the other details mentioned on their NEET results while registering.</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Note:</b> Candidates should use the same mobile number and email ID they have used while registering for the NTA NEET examination.</p>

<p>Both the non-refundable registration fee and refundable tuition fee shall be paid by the candidates at the time of registration. The fee can be paid online via Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Net Banking.</p>

<li aria-level="1">Candidates who have registered for round 1 are not required to re-register themselves for round 2 and round 3 counselling.</li>
<li aria-level="1">New registrations are not allowed for the stray vacancy round.</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Step 2: Choice Filling and Locking</b></p>
<p>After registration, candidates are required to login into the MCC portal and fill in the choices. Follow the given steps:</p>
<ul class="mb-3">
<li aria-level="1">Login into the <strong>MCC portal</strong> with your credentials.</li>
<li aria-level="1">View the list of colleges and fill in as many course/ college choices as possible in the order of preference</li>
<li aria-level="1">You can fill in any number of choices from the list available</li>
<li aria-level="1">After filling in the choices, you can arrange them in order of preference by moving them up or down, interchange choices and even adding/deleting choices.</li>
<li aria-level="1">Once done, log in again and ‘Lock Choices’ on the given date.</li>
<li aria-level="1">Candidates must take a printout and save a copy of the choices filled for future reference.</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Note:</b> Choice locking facility will be available for a specific duration on the scheduled day. Candidates should be very careful in their selection/preference because they are not allowed to make any changes after locking their choices.</p>
<p><b>Step 3: Seat Allotment and Result</b></p>
<p>MCC will prepare a seat allocation list based on the candidate’s score (AIR) in <strong>NEET 2022</strong> and the choices filled in the registration form.</p>
<p>The seat allocation result will be released on MCC’s official portal after each round of counselling. The result will be declared in the form of a list, followed by issuing seat allotment letters to the selected candidates. Candidates are required to check the result and download their allotment letters.</p>
<p><b>Step 4: Reporting to the Allotted Institute</b></p>
<p>Candidates who will be allocated seats must download and take a printout of their allotment letters. Following that, candidates must report to the allocated institutes at the scheduled date with the allotment letter and all the necessary documents (mentioned above) for verification &amp; confirmation of the seat to finish the admission process.</p>
<p><b>Note: </b>If a candidate accepts the allocated seat but fails to report at the institute on the given date, then his candidature will be terminated.</p>
<p>Candidates who wish to upgrade their round 1 allocated seat must join round 2 of counselling.</p>
<h3 id="NEET-6">Special Instructions for <strong>NRI/Overseas Students</strong>:</h3>
<p>In accordance with the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India’s orders, candidates claiming themselves as NRI should submit the appropriate documents to substantiate their claim. The documents required are</p>

<li aria-level="1">Passport copy or VISA of sponsor</li>
<li aria-level="1">Embassy certificate</li>
<li aria-level="1">Relationship Affidavit stating the relation of the candidate with the sponsor</li>

<p><b>Instructions:</b></p>

<h3>What is Free Exit and Exit with Forfeiture?</h3>
<p><b>Free Exit: </b>Free exit is only applicable for round 1. If a candidate has been allocated a seat in round 1 and doesn’t join or report at the allotted institute, he would not be penalised (the security deposit would NOT BE forfeited). In addition, he will be deemed eligible for further rounds.</p>
<p><b>Exit with Forfeiture: </b>If a candidate decides not to accept the seat allocated to him in round 2, they can exit with forfeiture within the given period. Here their security amount will be forfeited.</p>
<p><b>Note:</b> Candidates who accept the assigned seat in round 2 are not eligible to quit or give up their seats and are also not allowed to participate in state counselling.</p>
<p>For the Mop-up round, candidates must follow a similar procedure of choice filling and locking, seat allotment &amp; result and reporting at the institute, except for registration. Those who have registered for round 1 are not required to register again for the Mop-up round.</p>
<p>The last Stray Vacancy round will be conducted by Deemed/ Central Universities. Deemed or Central Universities will be given a list of ten times (of the registered candidates) of the number of stray vacancies that need to be filled in strict order of merit.</p>
<h3 id="NEET-7">NEET-UG 2022 Seat Matrix:</h3>
<p>MCC will release the NEET-UG 2022 seat matrix on MCC official website, before each round of <strong>NEET counselling</strong> for 15% All India Quota seats. 										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>NEET-UG 2022 was conducted on July 17 2022, in 546 cities in India and 14 different cities abroad. This year, more than 18 lakh candidates have appeared for the exam. Following the examination, many complaints of irregularities have come forward. A few female candidates have been subjected to intrusive frisking while other candidates received the question paper in a different language. Considering the misconduct, NTA has decided to conduct a re-examination for the affected candidates on 4 September 2022. The re-examination will be from 2 PM IST to 5:20 PM IST. The reporting time will be from 12.20 PM IST to 1.30 PM IST and candidates will not be permitted to enter the examination hall after 1:30 PM IST under any circumstances.</p>
<p>Furthermore, NTA has also released the revised Admit Card for the affected candidates on its official website.</p>
<h2>How to download Admit Card?</h2>

<li>Click on NEET-UG 2022 link</li>
<li>Go to the Candidate Activity section</li>
<li>Log in using your registration number and date of birth</li>

<p>As announced by the NTA, the <strong>NEET 2022 retest</strong> will be conducted only for the affected candidates of the specific examination centers where irregularities were reported. Here’s the list of exam centers where the NEET 2022 retest will be conducted:</p>

<p>No, NRI/ PIO/ OCI candidates are not eligible to appear for the <strong>NEET 2022 retest</strong>. As mentioned above, only affected candidates of the specific examination centers in India where irregularities were reported are eligible to appear for the retest.</p>

All the candidates who have registered for NEET-UG 2022 exam, can download their exam city intimation slip from its official website <a href="https://neet.nta.nic.in/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">www.neet.nta.nic.in</a>. Following that, it is expected that NTA will release the NEET 2022 admit card soon.</p>
<p>Candidates must not confuse this exam city intimation slip with NEET 2022 admit card. NTA has released the exam city intimation slip to inform candidates about the allotted exam city beforehand to provide them enough time for making the necessary travel and other arrangements. NTA will release the NEET 2022 admit card soon that candidates need to download and carry with them to the allotted exam centers.</p>
<p>As announced by the NTA, NEET-UG 2022 exam is scheduled to be held on 17 July 2022 in 546 cities in India and 14 cities abroad. The exam will be conducted in offline pen &amp; paper-based mode from 2 PM to 5:20 PM IST.</p>
