JEE Main 2022 preparation tips:

1. Start early:

Probably one of the most crucial aspects of qualifying JEE Main is starting your strategic preparation early. Most of the students begin their JEE preparation in 11th grade, however, if you are committed to passing the exam, it’s never too late to get started. Start your preparation as early as possible so that you can complete your entire syllabus on time and get enough time for revision and practice in the end. Before you begin, it is much preferable to grasp and build a clear notion of the concepts. Since the questions asked in JEE Main examination are twisted and conceptual, preparing with a reliable coaching institute like ALLEN Overseas will set you on the right track toward success.

2. Follow a routine:

Create a realistic study schedule and stick to it. Effective JEE Main preparation demands consistency and dedication. The exam syllabus is vast and the competition is cut-throat, to secure your seat, it is crucial to create a rigorous schedule and follow it diligently. Here are some pointers to keep in mind while preparing your study schedule:

• Break big chapters into small topics and dedicate particular hours for each topic.
• Set a daily study target and make sure to achieve it before calling a day
• Study all three subjects (Physics, Chemistry, and Math) daily to avoid boredom.
• Identify your peak productivity hours and study difficult topics during them.
• Take frequent breaks to refresh your mind and boost productivity
• Make time for daily essential activities like sleeping, eating, bathing exercise, etc.

3. Revise your syllabus:

Revision is the key to success. Don’t push revision to the last minute. Revision should be a part of your study plan and done regularly. Try to revise daily what you’ve learned every day. Allen Overseas experts recommend students should prepare some concise notes for last-minute revision to avoid undue anxiety before the exam. For that purpose, use smart notes like flashcards, flowcharts, cheat sheets, mind maps, diagrams, etc.

4. Practice mock tests:

No preparation is complete without practicing mock tests. Practice as many questions, and mock tests as you can before the exam. Taking mock tests will help you in assessing your level of preparation and enhance your confidence and problem-solving skills. Students are advised to take three hours to complete online practice tests in a real exam-like situation. Remember after completing your mock tests analyze your mistakes and make efforts to rectify them. Practicing mock tests will allow you to formulate an effective exam day strategy.

5. Solve previous year’s question papers:

Previous years’ JEE Main question papers are the most useful resources in preparing for top-tier competitive exams like JEE Main. They will aid in determining the exam’s difficulty level, question format, topic weightage, and important topics for efficacious exam preparation. Solving previous year’s JEE Main question papers will also help in evaluating one’s level of preparation, strengths, and weaknesses, as well as time management skills which is extremely crucial.

Best Study Plan for JEE Main 2022:

1. Check JEE Main complete syllabus
2. Understand JEE Main exam pattern & marking scheme
3. Analyze JEE Main previous year question papers
4. Gather your study material (NCERT books, modules, reference books, notes, etc.)
5. Create a time-table for studying while allocating specific hours for each subject/topic and revision
6. Revise regularly what you’ve studied
7. Practice relevant questions and solve mock test papers
8. Analyze your mistakes and make efforts to rectify them

Subject-wise JEE Main 2022 Strategy: Physics

Physics is the most difficult subject for JEE aspirants as the questions asked are mostly twisted and conceptual. To score well in Physics, you must first understand the concepts and then solve problems. Rather than memorizing formulas and equations, focus on the fundamentals of the subject. Before you begin solving questions, be sure you understand the concept and its application thoroughly. For effective JEE preparation, practice both numerical and conceptual problems.

Subject-wise JEE Main 2022 Strategy: Chemistry

Chemistry is further divided into inorganic, organic, and physical chemistry.

Inorganic chemistry: Direct questions are asked in this section, hence it is recommended to prepare NCERT thoroughly. Make elaborated notes of each chapter, learn all reaction mechanisms, and name reactions by heart. Constantly revise the formulae and reactions in your free time. Previous year’s questions are often repeated in this section, therefore practice them meticulously.

Organic Chemistry: Organic chemistry questions are usually concept-based, hence it is recommended to learn the concepts and mechanisms behind every reaction and memorize all the important formulae. Focus on Isomerism and effects, a thorough understanding of all these concepts will help you in scoring well.

Physical Chemistry: For physical chemistry, clear your concepts and practice problems. When you’re finished with the chapter, jot down all of the equations and formulae in a notebook for quick reference while solving problems, and practice as many problems as you can to effectively grasp the concepts.

Subject-wise JEE Main 2022 Strategy: Math

Math is a practice-based subject that necessitates a lot of practice, and you must have all of the concepts and formulae memorized. It is necessary that all the shortcuts and formulae should be at your fingertips. Clear your basics first then move on to solve the problems. Practice is the key to acing JEE Math.
