The Direct Admission of Students Abroad (DASA) 2026 scheme offers overseas students, Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs), Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs), Foreign Nationals, and CIWG (Children of Indian Workers in Gulf) candidates a opportunity to secure admission to India’s premier technical institutions, including National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), Schools of Planning and Architecture (SPAs), IIEST Shibpur, and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs).

The official DASA UG 2026 Seat Matrix will be published by the DASA Coordinating Institute (expectedly NIT Calicut) along with the release of the Information Brochure. The seat matrix is typically made available several weeks before the start of the counselling process.
