Important Instructions – Admit Card

  • Candidates must download the JEE Main 2026 Admit Card along with the Self Declaration (Undertaking) from the official NTA website by logging in with their Application Number and Date of Birth.
  • The Examination City Intimation Slip is usually released before the admit card. Candidates can check or download it using the same login credentials.
  • The admit card contains: Candidate’s Name, Roll Number, Exam Centre, Date and Time of Exam, and Photograph and Signature.
  • NTA advises all candidates to carefully read the subject-specific and general instructions printed on the question paper and information bulletin.
  • No hard copy of the admit card will be sent via post or courier. Online download is mandatory.
  • If an admit card is withheld, candidates should immediately contact NTA at jeemain@nta.ac.in. This usually happens if a candidate has submitted multiple application forms or if there is a discrepancy in uploaded documents.

How to Download JEE Main 2026 Admit Card

Follow these steps to download your admit card:

  1. Visit the official website: jeemain.nta.nic.in
  2. Click on the link: ‘Download Admit Card for JEE Main 2026’
  3. You will be redirected to the candidate login portal.
  4. Enter your Application Number, Date of Birth, and Security Pin.
  5. Click ‘Submit’.
  6. Your admit card will appear on the screen.
  7. Download and take multiple printouts on A4 size paper for future reference.

JEE Main 2026 – Exam Day Essentials

Mandatory: No candidate will be allowed entry without a printed copy of the Admit Card and a valid original Photo ID.

Documents to Carry (Mandatory):

  • Printed Admit Card: A clear A4 printout of the admit card along with the duly filled and signed Self Declaration (Undertaking).
  • Passport Size Photograph: One recent passport-size photograph (same as uploaded in the application form) for pasting on the attendance sheet.
  • Valid Original Photo ID Proof (any one of the following):
    • School Identity Card (valid)
    • PAN Card
    • Voter ID Card
    • Passport
    • Aadhaar Card or e-Aadhaar (with photograph)
    • Class XII Board Admit Card (with photograph)
    • Bank Passbook (with photograph)
  • PwD or PwBD Certificate: If claiming relaxation under PwD or PwBD category, carry the original certificate issued by an authorized medical officer as per NTA guidelines.
  • Transparent Ball Point Pen: A simple transparent pen. No other stationery items are allowed inside.

Forgot JEE Main 2026 Password

If you have forgotten or misplaced your password, follow these steps to reset it:

  1. Go to the official JEE Main 2026 website.
  2. Click on the ‘Download Admit Card’ link.
  3. Select ‘Forgot Password’.
  4. The security question you selected during registration will be displayed.
  5. Enter the correct answer.
  6. An SMS with a system-generated code will be sent to your registered mobile number.
  7. A password reset link will be sent to your registered email ID.
  8. Click the link and create a new password.

Forgot JEE Main 2026 Application Number

Your application number is required along with your password to log in. If you have forgotten it, retrieve it as follows:

  1. Visit the official JEE Main 2026 website.
  2. Click on the ‘Download Admit Card’ link.
  3. Select ‘Forgot Application Number’.

Important Note for Overseas Candidates

  • For candidates applying under the DASA or CIWG scheme, the admit card will clearly mention the applicable category and quota.
  • Overseas candidates are advised to check the local travel or entry guidelines at the exam centre city well in advance.
