Good news for all the NRI students studying in UAE – His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Crown Prince of Dubai announced the coveted 10-year Golden Residency Visa for exemplary High School students and their families. It is a long-term residency Visa offered to certain individuals and now to students as well.
That means Indian students studying in the UAE can also apply for this 10-year Golden Residency Visa based on their academic achievements.
The initiative has been taken by the UAE government to recognize and felicitate young scholars and their families. It also aligns with the government’s desire to establish an encouraging and supportive environment for brilliant students, as well as to attract extraordinary, skilled individuals to contribute to the UAE’s overall development.
Applications to claim the visa should be submitted via the Emirates Schools Establishment (ESE) electronically at https://icp.gov.ae/ . Both public and private school students including expatriates can apply for the Golden Visa.
The Golden visa is a long-term renewable residency visa that allows international talents to live, work, and study in the UAE while receiving special perks. The Golden visa is available to investors, entrepreneurs, scientists, excellent students and graduates, humanitarian pioneers, and frontline heroes.
High school students who have scored at least 95% average marks in the general high school certificate or its equivalent from public or private schools are eligible to apply for the Golden Visa.
In addition, University students from within and outside the country who have a cumulative GPA (Grade Point Average) of no less than 3.75 (or its equivalent) in specific scientific disciplines can also apply.
