For students studying in the GCC region, early clarity on the exam date makes it easier to plan school exams, travel, and preparation around a fixed target. Here is how to use the announcement.
With 22 January 2027 as the first possible exam day, map your remaining months into three phases: complete the syllabus, solve previous-year questions, and then take full-length mock tests with a final revision round. Students who also have board exams in the same academic year should build a combined schedule early.
Apart from admission to NITs, IIITs and other CFTIs, JEE Main scores are the basis for DASA (Direct Admission of Students Abroad) admissions for eligible NRI, PIO, OCI and foreign national candidates. Check the official DASA criteria alongside the JEE Main Information Bulletin.
Keep your academic records, passport-size photograph, signature scan, ID details, and contact information ready so you can register quickly once NTA opens applications. Students in the Gulf region should also watch the Information Bulletin for the list of exam cities outside India.
