The results of JEE Advanced 2025 have been officially declared today, June 2, 2025, by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur, the organizing institute for this year’s exam. This marks a critical milestone for students aiming to secure admission to the prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
Candidates who appeared for the examination can now access their result and scorecard on the official website — https://jeeadv.ac.in
Students can follow these steps to download their result:
The result includes information such as the candidate’s All India Rank (AIR), category rank, subject-wise marks, and total marks obtained.
Candidates who registered for JEE Advanced 2025 using non-Indian mobile numbers can access their results through a dedicated international result portal. This provision ensures smooth access for students residing outside India or using international contact details.
How to Check Result (For International Candidates):
International candidates are also eligible to participate in JoSAA Counselling 2025, provided they meet the necessary eligibility criteria. It is advised that they closely follow the schedule and prepare the required documents well in advance for digital verification.
This separate portal helps ensure that all qualified candidates—irrespective of their geographical location—receive timely access to their results and can proceed with the admission process without difficulty.
This year’s exam saw participation from over 1.8 lakh candidates, out of which 54,378 students have qualified for admissions to various IITs and other participating institutes.
These results underline the consistent academic excellence shown by students across the country, as well as the growing participation and performance of female candidates.
JEE Advanced is the second stage of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE), conducted annually for admission into the undergraduate programs of the IITs. It is one of the most competitive and prestigious entrance exams in India, testing students on their problem-solving abilities and deep understanding of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
To be eligible for JEE Advanced, candidates must first qualify in JEE Main, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Only the top 2.5 lakh JEE Main rank holders are permitted to appear in JEE Advanced each year.
With the results now available, the next step for qualified candidates is to participate in the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) 2025 counselling process. JoSAA handles the centralized admission process for IITs, NITs, IIITs, and other Government Funded Technical Institutions (GFTIs).
Candidates must ensure that all documents are ready for upload and verification as per JoSAA’s guidelines. Failure to do so may result in cancellation of their candidature.
The declaration of the JEE Advanced 2025 results marks the beginning of a new phase for aspirants who have worked tirelessly over the past year. Whether you’ve secured a top rank or are looking for the best available options, this is the time to think clearly, plan strategically, and move ahead with confidence.
Securing a seat at an IIT is not just about marks, but also about the right choices during counselling. For those who did not qualify, this is not the end. There are many excellent opportunities through JEE Main, private universities, and state-level entrance exams.
Stay informed, stay calm, and make the most of the opportunities ahead.
