DASA UG Brouchure 2023 Released: Check Details

Direct Admission of Students Abroad (DASA) has released the brochure for Undergraduate counselling 2023 on 5th June 2023. As already informed, NIT Calicut will be conducting the DASA Counselling 2023 for this academic year.

DASA conducts counselling for admissions of various Foreign Nationals/Persons of Indian Origin (POIs)/ Non-Resident Indians (NRI)/ Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) in various prestigious engineering institutions such as NITs, IIITs, etc.

Those seeking admission under the DASA scheme have to register online, fill out an online application form and make the fee payment through SWIFT/ E- Payment/ NEFT/ RTGS transfer on or before the deadline mentioned in the schedule on the DASA website.

Academic Eligibility Criteria To Participate in DASA Counselling 2023:

As per the DASA UG Brouchure 2023, to participate in DASA Counselling 2023:

Applicant must have passed the qualifying examination, i.e. Senior Secondary [10+2] or equivalent from any system of education as recognised by the Association of Indian Universities (www.aiu.ac.in) with specified subjects.
Applicants appearing for the qualifying examination in the academic year 2022-23 and expecting their final results latest by December 31, 2023, may also apply.
Applicant should have successfully completed Mathematics, Physics and one of the subjects (Chemistry, Bio-technology, Computer Science, Biology) in 12th with 60% marks (CGPA of 6.0 out of 10) in the aggregate, as applicable in the respective boards.
Applicant should have a valid JEE (Main)-2023 rank.

Documents Required for DASA Counselling 2023:

Applicant’s Passport
Proof of date of birth
Mark Sheet of 10th, 11th and 12th (or) Equivalent examination(s)
Certificate from School authorities as proof of completion of 11th and 12th Standard or equivalent.
Percentage/CGPA equivalence provided by the principal examination authorities, in case of CGPA on a different scale than that specified, is awarded OR if only grades are awarded.
Proof of 2 years of education (11th and 12th or equivalent) in the foreign country in case of NRI.

Details & Proof of fee payment in case of payment made via SWIFT transfer
In case the 12th standard or equivalent is not completed yet, the candidate has to give an undertaking in the online application.

Additional Documents Required by CIWG Students:

Copy of the passport of the parent working in the Gulf.
Copy of Parent’s visa with validity on any date in the year 2023.
Copy of Parent’s Work Permit with validity on any date in the year 2023.
Certificate from the company/organisation as proof that the parent is working in the Gulf country.
If a parent has been working in the Gulf till any date in the year 2023, a certificate would be required stating the same.
