DASA 2024 UG-Brochure and Schedule Announced: Check Details

DASA (Direct Admission for Student Abroad) has released the brochure for Undergraduate counselling 2024. As previously announced, NIT Raipur will conduct the DASA Counselling 2024 for this academic year.

DASA conducts counselling for admissions of foreign nationals/Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs)/Non-Resident Indians (NRIs)/Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs) to prestigious engineering institutions such as NITs, IIITs, etc.

Interested individuals must follow the process to secure admission under the DASA scheme. This includes online registration, filling out an application form, and making the necessary fee payment through SWIFT/E-Payment/ NEFT/ RTGS transfer. It’s important to complete these steps before the last date.

*Note*:  Candidates who are allotted seats in both JoSAA and DASA “MUST SURRENDER” one of the seats during this time. After the withdrawal time period, if the candidate does not surrender from either of the occupied seats, then both seats can be cancelled.

DASA 2024 Eligibility Criteria:

As per the DASA UG Brochure 2024, to participate in DASA Counselling 2024, the candidate must fulfil the below academic eligibilities:

  • Candidates must born on or after 1 October 1999.
  • Candidates must have passed the qualifying examination, i.e. Senior Secondary [10+2] or an equivalent from any education system recognised by the Association of Indian Universities (www.aiu.ac.in), with specified subjects.
  • Applicants who will complete their qualifying examination in the academic year 2023-24 and expect to receive their final results by September 30, 2024, may also apply.
  • Applicants must have completed their Senior Secondary [10+2] or an equivalent with Mathematics, Physics, and one of the following subjects: Chemistry, Bio-technology, Computer Science, or Biology, with at least 75% marks (or a CGPA of 7.5 out of 10) in aggregate, as applicable in their respective boards.
  • Candidates should have a valid JEE (Main)-2024 rank.

DASA 2024 Documents Required:

  • Candidate’s Passport
  • Date of Birth Proof
  • 10th, 11th & 12th (or) Equivalent examination(s) mark sheet
  • Certificate from school authorities as evidence of completing 11th and 12th standard or equivalent.
  • If the CGPA is on a different scale than that specified, percentage/CGPA equivalence provided by the principal examination authorities is awarded OR if only grades are awarded.
  • NRIs are required to provide proof of two years of schooling in the foreign country (11th and 12th or equivalent).
  • JEE Main -2024 scorecard with rank showing.
  • Payment details & proof of payment if payment was made via SWIFT.
  • If the 12th standard or equivalent has not been completed yet, the candidate must give an undertaking in the online application.

Documents Required for CIWG Candidates:

  • Passport copy of parent working in Gulf region.
  • A copy of the parent’s visa that will be valid until any day in 2024.
  • A copy of the Parent’s Work Permit with validity on any date in 2024.
  • A certificate from the company/organisation serves as proof of the parent’s employment in a Gulf country.
  • A certificate stating that a parent worked in the Gulf until 2024 is required.
