JEE (Main) 2023 Session 2: NTA Opens Correction Window in Category of the Online Application Form

As lakhs of candidates await for the result of JEE Main 2023 post the release of the provisional answer key, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued another update. In a recent development, NTA has issued a notification announcing the reopening of the correction window.

As scheduled, NTA will be closing the objection window against the provisional answer key today, April 21, 2023. However, answering the plea of candidates, NTA has allowed them to edit/modify their Category in the Online Application Form of JEE (Main) – 2023 for Session 2.

In the notification dated, 20th April 2023, NTA stated, “Representations have been received from the candidates regarding allowing them to edit/modify their Category in the Online Application Form of JEE (Main) – 2023. In view of the above and in the interest of the students, it has been decided to provide a final opportunity for the candidates for modifying their Category in the Online Application Form of JEE (Main) – 2023.”

The schedule for the same is listed as below.

The notification stated that the deadline to make changes in application form will end on April 22 (up to 11:50 P.M.). After that, no correction whatsoever will be entertained by NTA under any circumstances. Candidates are requested to make the necessary corrections as soon as possible.

The candidates may note that they can only modify their category (if required). The documents related to the category will be verified at the time of counselling/admission by the concerned Authority.

The notice further states, “Candidates must note that the benefit of reservation will be given to them subject to verification of documents by the concerned Counselling / Admission Authority. If it is discovered at any stage that a candidate has used a false/fake/incorrect document or has furnished false, incorrect, or incomplete information, in order to avail the benefit of reservation, then such a candidate shall be excluded from all further processes. In case such a candidate has already been given admission, the admission shall stand cancelled.”

To initiate the correction, the students are requested to login to their respective student portal.
