NEET UG 2024 Provisional Answer Key & Response Sheet Released

The NEET UG 2024 Provisional Answer Key has been officially released by the National Testing Agency (NTA). This follows the administration of the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Exam (NEET) UG on May 5, 2024, across 571 cities in India and 14 cities overseas.  This year more than 24 Lakh students appeared in the examination.

Furthermore, NTA has made available scanned copies of OMR Answer Sheets and the corresponding recorded responses for all students on its official website. With both the answer key and their scanned OMR Answer Sheets, students have the opportunity to raise their objections against any discrepancies in the recorded responses. This process can be carried out until 31 May 2024 by 11:50 PM.

How to Download NEET UG 2024 Answer Key/ Steps to Download NEET UG 2024 Answer Key:

To access the NEET UG 2024 Provisional Answer Key, students can follow these steps on the official website:

• Go to the NTA NEET official website.
• Navigate to the Public Notice and click on the NEET 2024 Answer Key link.
• Choose the question paper code you wish to view for the Official NEET 2024 Answer Key.
• Download the NEET UG Answer Key 2024 PDF.
• Analyse and compare the accurate responses with the ones you recorded.

For added convenience, NTA has also sent a scanned image of the OMR Answer Sheet to the registered email address upon submission of the NEET UG 2024 Online Application Form.

How to Calculate Scores using the Official NEET UG 2024 Answer Key?

After obtaining the Answer Key from the official NTA website, students should adhere to the provided guidelines:

• Evaluate each recorded response in relation to the answer key, on a per-question basis.
• Award four marks for each correct answer and maintain a running total.
• Subtract one mark for each incorrect answer from the aggregate.

Students also have the option to compute their anticipated scores using this provided formula:

NEET 2024 Score = (Total Number of Correct Responses X 4) – Total Number of Incorrect Responses/

How to Challenge Official Answer Key?

If students come across any inconsistencies between their answers and those provided in the official Answer Key, their recorded responses can serve as a basis for them to raise their concerns and contest the NEET UG 2024 Answer Key.

Steps to Challenge the Answer Key

• Visit the official NEET website.
• Click “Apply for the Answer Key Challenge(s)”
• Select the Test Booklet Code.
• Login with your Application Number and Date of Birth and enter your Security PIN.

You will see the following Questions are in sequential order:

• The number listed in the “Correct Option” column beside the question denotes the recommended Answer Key provided by the NTA.
• If applicable, please upload the supporting document.
• Upon selecting your preferred option for Physics/Chemistry/Botany/Zoology in NEET (UG) 2024, click “Save your Claim” and proceed to the next screen.
• Click on “Save your Claim and Complete Payment”.
• Choose a payment method, be it “Debit/Credit Card/Net banking/Paytm”.
• Following a successful payment, retrieve and print the Answer Key Challenge receipt.

It’s important for students to be aware that all challenges will be reviewed by a panel of subject experts. If a challenge is deemed accurate, the answer key will be adjusted and applied to all candidates’ responses accordingly. No individual candidate will receive notification regarding the acceptance or rejection of their challenge. The final key, determined after all challenges are considered, will be considered as the ultimate version.
